HTC has just taken the wraps off the Desire 728 Dual-SIM handset for the Indian markets, with an official release to take place next week. Customers are being asked to shell out Rs 17,990 for this device, which puts this in the league of the Xiaomi Mi 4, the OnePlus X, the Moto X Play and several other smartphones. So how does it fare?
Well, as we’ve seen with HTC’s budget devices in the past, the hardware doesn’t justify pricing here. The Desire 728 Dual-SIM is no doubt a stellar smartphone, but certainly not worth the Rs 17,990 that’s being charged by the company.
The handset can be bought across a wide range of retailers (including e-commerce sites) in the country next week, so you won’t be able to buy one right away. The handset will be sold in Purple Myst and White Luxury colors at launch.
